Wonky bunny ears

Hello everyone, I hope that you are having lovely weekends. Seems like a while now that I last posted a post... honestly where does the time go I wish we have more of it I really do!

I wanted to share with you a couple of makes that I have been working on recently...

This idea is from Martha Stewart and her pattern for 'Menswear Bunnies' which can be found in her book and also website - http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/stuffed-bunny . Although I decided to use some of my favourite gingham fabrics and some more florally fabric for the ears.

I wanted to make them a bit more smiley to so after a few google searches taught myself how to embroider Satin stitch to do the eyes, nose and mouth.

As you will see, the poor green rabbit has back-to-front ears due to an error on my part during the sewing process. I have flip-reversed his ear for the photo to show you how it should have looked at the front...

Had a fab day today at the Battersea Car Boot Sale... even though we got drenched! Post to follow soon showing all the little treasures I found...

I noticed that recently I have reached 100 followers! Thank you lovely fellow bloggers for following me and also for your comments. It's fab to read all the other crafty and home made blogs out there it is very inspiring.

To mark the occasion I am planning a giveaway to include a selection of crafty goodies and vintage treasures - details to follow soon...!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday

Valentine Bloggy Swap!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Thank you SOOO much to lovely and talented Andrea at Fin and Gabs for my gorgeous Valentines Bloggy Swap pressies!

I was so excited when I picked up my box of goodies from the Post Office on Friday....

Lots of delights all beautifully wrapped with gorgeous heart wrapping paper and a card too!

Would you like a closer look....?

I LOVE this card... I will keep it forever... brilliant...

My first pressie was a scroll wrapped with some red ribbon...

Opened up to reveal three beautifully designed sheets of wrapping paper....

Some heavenly perfume called 'Very Red' (that was the 'red' item in the collection then, very good, hehe!)

And some yummy jelly hearts that definitely will not last long...

A beautiful red spotty hanging heart which I will treasure for ever, so beautifully made ...

AND another gorgeous make - a red spotty fabric covered notebook to match my red spotty heart. It is too nice to write in...!

Andrea, I love your handwriting!

Did you see the other wooden hearts too in the piccie above and also the little wooden creature above them?

Here is a close up of the little creature! An adorable little wooden bird which is so cute I love him....

Andrea also makes her own beautiful cards, and I was so lucky to receive two of them, I just love the colours and designs....they will be saved for a special occasion...

I also received some little postcards and pictures which all on display as we speak!

Thank you so much Andrea, these really brightened my day!!

Have a good day everyone.
